The finely chased whimsical ormolu andirons, each surmounted with a figure of a standing cupid or cherub, both angel blacksmiths working on love arrows, standing at the end of a draped table with a burning flame torch flambeau emanating from an Athénienne. A Very Fine and Rare Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Ormolu Figural Chenets, by Henry Dasson (French, 1825-1896). The finely chased satin and mercury gilt bronze andirons, each surmounted with an allegorical Neoclassical style urn decorated with a pair of ram-heads and floral garlands, topped with an acorn finial and raised on foliage-cast scrolled leaves. The base with pierced ormolu rosettes, with an enameled dark green background, each end topped with an acorn finial and all raised on four tapered and fluted toupie feet. Signed "Henry Dasson, 1881". A Very Fine and Charming Pair of French 19th Century Louis XV Style Figural Gilt and Patinated Bronze Chenets, each surmounted with a seated patinated bronze putto holding on to a branches, over a scrolled gilt-bronze plinth. A Fine and Large French 19th Century Louis XV Style Gilt-Bronze Figural Chenet (andiron) and Fender Suite. The impressive fender surmounted on each end by a figure of playful battling armorial putto (children), one holding a sword and a shield, the other a holding a spear and shield, both with relief allegorical plaques below depicting playful battling scenes, both ends joined by a cartouche centered with a shield and flanked by leaf and acorn and laurel wreaths. A Very Fine Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Finely Chased Gilt and Ppatinated Bronze Chenets (Andirons) by Bouhon et Cie. A Group of Six Franco/Dutch 19th/20th Century Japonisme Style Gilt and Ebonized Bronze and Gilt-Bronze Figural Chenets (Andirons), Gilt-Bronze Figural Fire-Tools and Metal Fire-Screen. The tall orientalist flavor chenets, each surmounted with a figure of a Komodo dragon, the fire-tools comprising of tongs, a poker and a shovel, the large spark screen with decorative elements. A Very Fine and Large English 19th Century Empire Style Gilt and Patinated Bronze and Steel Figural Fireplace Fender - Chenet. The beaufifully designed fender flanked on each end by resting Bullmastiff dogs on a patinated rectangular plinth surmounted with a finely chased ormolu floral mount, both ends conjoined by a center steel rod with ormolu end-caps and a scrolled center finail, all above a patinated bronze stretcher.
